The Hermosa Inn Begins Poolside Yoga Classes
Luxury boutique resort now offering poolside yoga every Wednesday and Saturday
Now that the clouds have parted in the greater Phoenix area, the temperatures are rising and the luxury boutique resort The Hermosa Inn is kicking off a new program for both guests and Valley residents alike, poolside yoga classes.
Taking place every Wednesday at 4 p.m. and Saturday at 10 a.m., each class is a 75-minute session that is suitable for both beginners and seasoned practitioners. Teachers Nicole Hamic and Maren Wiegand will lead students in a practice of breath control, flowing movement and held postures to challenge one’s body and mind in a safe and gentle way.
A perfect complement to any existing exercise routine or a great way to kick-start a healthier lifestyle, The Hermosa Inn’s poolside yoga classes will focus on stretching and strengthening muscles, while increasing energy and calming the mind – all in an open-air luxury environment amidst six serene acres of Sonoran Desert.
Each class is $15 and towels, mats and water will be provided. For more information on The Hermosa Inn, call 602.955.8614 (toll free at 800.241.1210) or visit online at www.HermosaInn.com, Facebook, Pinterest, Twitter and the Hermosa Inn blog.
ABOUT THE HERMOSA INN & LON’S
Recently named one of the 2012 “Top 500 Hotels in the World” by Travel + Leisure Magazine and Condé Nast Traveler’s 2012 Reader’s Choice Award for Top 25 Resorts in the Southwest, The Hermosa Inn is a jewel of a hideaway in the heart of the Valley; minutes from Scottsdale, yet surrounded by an exclusive neighborhood in Paradise Valley. Originally hand-crafted in the 1930’s by cowboy artist Lon Megargee as his private residence, the Inn’s adobe architecture has kept its “old Arizona” character and charm. All 34 casitas are surrounded by spectacular landscaping and beautiful desert vistas. The $2 million remodel of the accommodations retains the legendary personality and intimate atmosphere of the original hacienda, while enhancing the accommodations with upgraded amenities for a more luxurious experience. The culinary centerpiece of the Inn is LON’s at the Hermosa, the celebrated Four Diamond restaurant renowned for “artful American” cuisine, which is complemented by the Last Drop Bar, aptly named after one of the many paintings by Megargee that can be seen throughout the historic inn.
