Scottsdale Charros Host Second Annual Spring Training Festival
Event Scheduled February 16-17, 2013 at Scottsdale Civic Center Mall
Scottsdale, Ariz.- The Scottsdale Charros are thrilled to host the Spring Training Festival™ for a second consecutive year, with a projected 30,000 attendees! Serving as the kickoff to the 2013 Cactus League spring training season, the festival runs from 10a.m. to 6p.m. on Saturday, February 16 and noon to 5p.m. on Sunday, February 17, 2013 and will be held at the beautiful Scottsdale Civic Center Mall in the heart of downtown Scottsdale.
There is something for everyone at this family-friendly festival including: Mad Science of Baseball interactive exploratorium exhibits, live music, entertainment, merchandise, rare memorabilia and tons of tasty eats in Yelp’s Kitchen Stadium- where a roundup of local restaurants put their signature twist on America’s favorite baseball stadium food fare. In addition, hall of fame greats from Cactus League teams will be on hand to take photos and sign autographs for fans!
New to the festival this year is the exclusive Maya Beach Club VIP Dugout that will host a day-life party with DJ E-Rock. The Dugout is a sneak peek of what to expect from the highly anticipated Maya Day & Night Club- Triyar Entertainment’s newest 20,000-square-foot beach club set to open in Spring 2013 and bring the famed and ever growing day life scene of St. Tropez, New York, and Las Vegas to Scottsdale. The Festival’s one-of-a-kind VIP experience allows guests to day party like never before! The Dugout opens at 10.00a.m. with mimosas, bloody marys, $4 beer and wine, and $6 Pinnacle Vodka cocktails. Admission to the Maya Beach Club VIP Dugout is $20 with cabanas available for reservation at $1,000.
Keep the party going at the W Scottsdale’s after-party! VIP wristbands received at the Maya Beach Club VIP Dugout will allow guests front of the line access. Guests of the after party are invited to enjoy a night of fashion and baseball while models walk the runway on the rooftop WET Deck wearing designs by L.A based designers presenting their newest lines of menswear, swimsuits, and high-end women’s couture.
Models will accessorize with jewelry by Hollywood favorite, JN Jewels, who has designed pieces for Jennifer Lopez, Hayden Panettiere, and ABC’s The Bachelorette, Emily Maynard. 100 poolside seats are available for purchase at $50 each with profits benefiting the Charro Foundation. Admittance is free.
Admission to the Spring Training Festival is $5. ATM services will be available on site. Food and beverage tickets are $2 each. Event sponsorships are still available, but limited. The Scottsdale Charros
Formed in 1961, the Scottsdale Charros are an all-volunteer group of business and civic leaders dedicated to providing support and funding for youth programs, educational scholarships and grants to local charities. With a history of innovative fundraising, the Charros have leveraged spring training baseball as a chief economic driver in Scottsdale. Funds raised through the sale of advertising and tickets to the Charro Lodge & Pavilion at Scottsdale Stadium are donated back to local charities making the Charros one of the community’s largest philanthropic contributors.
