Saturday, November 13th, 2010, just two days after Veterans Day, Foster Friess will be hosting The Foster Friess Stars and Stripes Classic, a dinner and live auction to celebrate the birthday of Didi Foss, and to advance the Joe Foss Institute’s mission of educating students about patriotism, integrity, public service and the significance of America’s freedoms.
Didi Foss and her late husband, Joe, founded the Arizona based Joe Foss Institute back in 2001. Since then, more than one million students lives have been touched.
The Stars and Stripes Classic will feature a lineup of special guests including Co-Founder of the Joe Foss Institute, Didi Foss, Foster Friess, Senator Jon Kyl, Arizona Governor Jan Brewer, Congressman Trent Franks, Congressman-elect Ben Quayle, Sarah Palin, Dr. James Dobson of Focus on the Family, LT.General William G. Boykin, Vice President Dan Quayle, Medal of Honor Recipient, Fred Furguson, CNN Correspondent, Alex Quade and many other special guests.
Lee Greenwood, Erin Kalin, Harry Luge Jr., Nancy Schulze, and the US Naval Academy Women’s Glee Club will provide special entertainment.
During the course of the evening, many will be honored—including several who have received the Medal of Honor—and military leaders. Public servants, veterans, firefighters, police officers and educators will be recognized for their profound contributions as well.
The event will help to accelerate the Institute’s work to make a difference in America’s future by reaching tomorrow’s leaders, today.
