The 44th Annual Lou Grubb Friends Fore Golf & Gala kicks off at the Scottsdale Resort at McCormick Ranch, April 27, with a lively cocktail reception, casino-like gambling and silent auction, followed by dinner and live auction--emceed by Arizona Diamondbacks President and CEO Derrick Hall!
Day two moves to the JW Marriott Camelback Golf Club for the annual tournament, which was introduced 44 years ago by Valley businessman and philanthropist Lou Grubb, who asked a few friends to play a friendly round of golf to raise money for charity. Although Lou passed away in 2012, his philanthropic legacy lives on through the tournament, organized every year by family and friends. Proceeds benefit St. Joseph's Hospital and Barrow Neurological Institute, where Lou received lifesaving care for an aneurysm in 1986.
