Tempe Marketplace will host alt-rockers Gemini Syndrome this Saturday, April 1 at 7 p.m. on The District stage. The free, full-length concert will also play host to a Four Peaks and Bud Light beer garden and local opening acts.

 

The weather might be heating up, but Tempe Marketplace, KUPD and ALT AZ are keeping things cool with the ROCK IT UP concert series, featuring  a free, full-length concerts from some of rock’s hottest acts, including Gemini Syndrome on April 1, and Fuel and Marcy Playground on May 12. Both evening shows include a beer garden from Four Peaks and Bud Light, as well as great local opening acts.

A FREE concert series at Tempe Marketplace in partnership with KUPD and ALT AZ, featuring full-length performances from Gemini Syndrome, Fuel, Marcy Playground and local opening acts. A beer garden will be provided by Four Peaks and Bud Light. ROCK IT UP, also sponsored by 7UP, runs during select dates in April and May.

Saturday, April 1, 7 p.m. Gemini Syndrome

The Los Angeles alternative metal band Gemini Syndrome, led by front man Aaron Nordstrom, pulls audiences in with electrifying beats and heart-pounding guitar riffs. Formed in 2010, the group has produced two knockout albums that showcase their seamless rhythms, soaring choruses and exhilarating guitar melodies. Lux, their debut album, featured their hit song “Stardust,” which peaked at No. 19 on the Billboard Mainstream Rock chart and has more than 3 million views on YouTube. Touring to promote their latest and greatest hit “Remember We Die” off of Memento Mori, the emerging band is quickly gaining the respect of rock fans throughout the country.

Fuel and Marcy Playground

Hailing from Pennsylvania, the established American rock band Fuel was formed in 1994. The group became a household name in 2000 with their double platinum album Something Like Human featuring their smash single “Hemorrhage (In My Hands),” which was named Billboard’s No. 5 Rock Song of the Decade and has more than 13 million views on YouTube. Their memorable hits incorporate melodic rhythms, catchy lyrics and unbeatable guitar riffs. Released in 2003, their third album Natural Selection, including their hit sensation “Falls on Me” premiered at No. 15 on the Billboard charts. With five studio albums, Fuel remains dedicated to producing exhilarating rock music.

Formed in 1997, American alternative rock band Marcy Playground has been taking stages by storm for more than two decades. Influenced by David Bowie, Jimi Hendrix and Nirvana, the group combines soft guitar rhythms with smooth lyrics to create an easy and unforgettable listening experience. The established trio is led by singer and guitarist John Wozniak and joined by bassist Dylan Keefe and drummer Shlomi Lavie. Their debut, self-titled album featured their top hit “Sex and Candy,” which quickly gained platinum status and today has more than 15 million views on YouTube.
