CaZo Dance Company is pleased to announce the premiere of their new feature-length dance production, Fate, an original love story to be performed live at the Phoenix Center for the Arts on April 7th and 8th, 2017.

Fate: the development of events beyond a person's control, regarded as determined by a supernatural power.

Follow the journey of two young couples — Dean and Suzy-Lee, Dane and Scarlet — as they explore the intricacies of love, life and destiny, all told through the power of movement and dance choreographed by Bridgette Borzillo. With plenty of laughter, heartfelt romance and deep sadness, Fate (inspired by music performed during 2016’s performance of Borzillo’s Remember When… An Old-Fashioned Love Story) will resonate with anyone who has ever fallen in love.

“When I was putting together the updated version of Remember When last year,” says Borzillo, “I invited a quartet of singers to perform songs from the eras my grandparents were together, and just listening to them sing those songs inspired me to create a show that revolved around that music; that sound. But I didn’t want an ordinary love story that people have seen a hundred times before. I needed a unique hook, and it took some time to develop that idea.”

Entering its third successful season, CaZo Dance continues to strive to develop movie-like dance programs to attract audiences that may not be dance savvy and help them fall in love with the art. And along with giving over a dozen standards from the 1940s to 1970s a modern twist, Fate also sees many new additions between the ages of 18 & 50 to the CaZo family that are sure to amaze.

Performances of Fate will be presented on Friday, April 7, 2017 at 7:30 p.m. and Saturday, April 8, 2017 at 2 and 7:30 p.m. in the 3rd Street Theater at Phoenix Center for the Arts in Phoenix, Arizona.
