Description

St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital®’s new gala series, “A Night in,” introduces “A Night in Venice at Carnevale.” The inaugural event will transfix guests with jaw-dropping entertainment including fire dancers, contortionists, a stilt walker, jugglers and more, Friday, March 3 at Phoenix’s Legacy Ballroom.

The gala series, “A Night in,” is designed to take Phoenicians beyond state lines with an immersive fine-dining experience that highlights a new destination each year. In true Carnevale fashion, the attire for the inaugural event is Black Tie Masquerade. To complement the evening’s extraordinary entertainment, Creations in Cuisine Catering will showcase authentic Italian fare including Pollo E Funghi Al Marsala and Gnocchi Di Patata.

In addition to the fine dining, entertainment, and both silent and live auctions, attendees will hear the story of 2017 Guest of Honor and Patient Speaker Kiara. Diagnosed with a cancerous tumor, medulloblastoma, in October 2014, Kiara underwent seven rounds of chemotherapy, six weeks of radiation therapy and intensive rehabilitation services at St. Jude. Now finished with her initial treatment, Kiara visits St. Jude quarterly for regular checkups.

Originally established in 1162, Carnevale di Venice has been as a celebration for military victories, a display of prestige for the city and outlawed for nearly 200 years. Since its reinstatement by the Italian government in 1979, the world-famous festival has celebrated the city’s many traditions and storied history, welcoming more than 3 million participants annually.

Individual tickets for the gala are $300 each and tables of 10 are $3,000. Tickets can be purchased online at http://bit.ly/ANightInTix.
