Check out this super luxury experience at the stunning King Pacific Lodge – now this is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity!

Have you had a secret desire to live the life of a professional chef? To team up with real chefs producing real meals, learning the secrets and tricks used in a professional kitchen? And, have you wanted to be part of the alchemistic transformation of food into the finest expression of the culinary craft? Well here’s your chance to find out. King Pacific Lodge, A Rosewood Resort and recipient of top scores for food, design, activities and location in the 2009 Condé Nast Gold List, is offering a limited number of guests the opportunity to join their kitchen brigade.

This is not a cooking class. This is about becoming a member of the culinary team participating in the preparation (mise en place) of the dishes that are to be featured on the evening’s dinner menu. The executive chef will interview every applicant for this unique job posting.

Absorb the energy of professional chefs who take their art seriously, whose skills manipulate raw ingredients into something magical. Feel the adrenalin surge and a sense of pride and accomplishment as the dishes that you have assisted in preparing leave the kitchen. You will gain a better understanding of the culinary philosophy of King Pacific Lodge and how sustainability impacts the selection of suppliers and the food product that are used, learn what to look for when purchasing and the benefits of cooking with seasonal, organic and hormone free product.

A contribution of $100 from each package booked will be made to support the Elder’s breakfast event held annually in Hartley Bay, home of the Gitga’at, as a commitment to social equity that is fundamental to the triple bottom line philosophy that King Pacific Lodge embraces.

Offered at an all-inclusive price of C$5,600 per person, your culinary adventure includes*:

• Pre- or post-night stay at the down town Shangri-La Hotel as you transit through Vancouver on your way to the Great Bear Rainforest
