Scottsdale Luxury Shopping

Once the spa treatments and dinners were over on my little weekend vacation in Scottsdale, it was on to the shopping.
My friend had come form Toronto, Paris and New York, and while they might be a few of the fashion capitols of the world, there are still things we have in Scottsdale that they do not have in their corner of the world – especially those coming from France and Canada.
My Canadian friends were dying to get to Nordstrom and Neiman Marcus, where I had boasted about the new Chanel boutique. At Nordstrom everyone went wild on the shoes and we had a couple pairs of Miu Mius make the ride home. Saks at Biltmore was another department store the Canadians just had to hit up, since they don’t have any of these high-end stores there (trust me, I know.) When I told them that Barneys New York was coming in the fall, I think they booked flights back.
We then hit up the Scottsdale Fashion Square for the high-end boutiques like Gucci, Louis Vuitton and Tiffany(just for browsing), but actually went nuts buying things at Anthropology (another one they don’t have in France and Canada.) My one friend actually had to stop by Macy’s to buy another suitcase to take her new clothes home in – no joke. I think my friends might have ended the recession this weekend.
Ironically my very fashionable French friend could not have cared less about the clothing – all she wanted was Starbucks. And she was impressed with Scottsdale’s ample locations.
All in all, the weekend was a success and it was a thrill to show off Scottsdale’s most luxurious entities. If anybody needs a tour guide, I am now available for hire!
