In this economic slump, I am always happy to read positive news about home sales. Optima’s Camelview Village in Scottsdale is one of our favorite developments, due to its architectural style and eco-friendly considerations. We are very happy to read that things are going well for them. See our full story on Camelview Village in the March issue of Arizona Foothills magazine, on stands soon.

After a ruthless wave of development closures, Optima Inc., the largest new condo developer in downtown Scottsdale, has announced a positive outlook for 2009. Starting at $399K, the luxury condo developer has averaged seven sales per month, putting the company in a great position while other projects nearby are seemingly diminishing.

Optima Camelview Village has been seeing strong traffic and double digit sales, some of which exceeded $1 million, by attracting multi-generational buyers with its prime downtown location set for shopping, business, and nightlife. The development was named one of the top 15 architectural achievements in Arizona by the American Institute of Architects (AIA) Arizona Chapter. Optima Camelview Village boasts a sophisticated flat-panel design with incredible mountain views, indoor and outdoor pools and spas, a dog park and a 24,000 square-foot clubhouse complete with basketball and racquetball courts as well as a party room available to residents.

“Today’s buyers are looking for a prime location and amenities that will continue to increase in market value over the coming years,” said David Hovey, FAIA and president of Optima, Inc. “They are sitting down with our architects and customizing their homes to fit their lifestyle because these are homes in which they are going to live. Buying in a low-market economy is a chance for residents to take advantage of the attractive pricing and record-low-financing.”

As the second phase continues to fill quickly, more traffic is already researching what’s next as the first two buildings of the final phase are finished and ready for occupancy and the final two buildings are under construction. As of February 1, there are 485 closings and nearly 88% of the community has been sold. Optima Camelview has a variety of sizes and floor plan options to choose from and numerous model homes located within the sales office onsite. In addition, Optima is offering attractive buyer incentives to further enhance the home purchase experience.

Optima Inc. sales team members attract guests by inviting them to share their ideas and by listening to their preferences and unique tastes. The condominium development is also in the process of offering its homebuyers’ a chance to work with an onsite interior design specialist that can arrange customized details for a pre-furnished condo while enabling the buyer to create their desired interior design for their home.

“Optima takes pride in taking time to establish personal relationships with each new buyer. The last thing buyers need in a tough economy is a sales team that doesn’t listen to their needs and budgets,” said Hovey. “We are here to listen and adjust, by meeting their goals and going beyond the expectations of our future residents.”
