The Mirabel Club, one of North Scottsdale’s most successful and widely acclaimed golf and country clubs, announced it has completed the transfer of ownership from the club’s development partners, Terrabrook and Discovery Land Company to its membership. The club also announced a new, limited-time equity membership program consisting of full golf memberships with an initiation fee of $60,000 for new members joining before Dec. 31, 2009. Property ownership is not required for membership in The Mirabel Club.

“This is a significant milestone for Mirabel,” said Michael Ryan, general manager of The Mirabel Club. “It is reflective of our success and the strength and stability of our membership. The new membership program offering equity golf memberships with an initiation fee of $60,000 before Dec. 31, 2009 ($75,000 afterwards) and social memberships for $25,000 is a significant reduction from Mirabel’s previous initiation fee of $125,000 for an equity golf membership and $30,000 for a social membership. Ryan said these changes were made as a result of current market conditions and were possible due to the members’ overwhelming support for the early turnover.

“Interest in obtaining memberships at Mirabel has increased dramatically following the announcement of the transition to private, member-owned club status and the expansion of our tennis facilities,” said Ryan. “Homebuyers within the Mirabel community and surrounding upscale developments are rediscovering the personal service, simple elegance and recreational opportunities to be found at their neighborhood private club.”

Open since 2001, Mirabel has sold nearly all of its custom home sites; however, a limited number of exceptional finished custom homes are available for purchase throughout the community.
