iPhone a la mode

What is the new word for bling? As overused as that term has become in the past few years, it must have a successor that I am unaware of. Iced? Frosted? Whatever the case may be, that is the precise status showcased in the offerings of U.K.-based Goldstriker International.
The company just released (yesterday) their iPhone 3G Swarovski & Sapphire edition (below). That’s right edition. There is an entire product line dedicated to extravagant, deck-out electronics- Blackberry’s, iPhones, you name it. However, as a contrast to the Swarovski-crystalizing trend of timespast, Goldstriker International has actually carved out a knack for designing sharp, classically-lined detailings that upgrade popular consumer products.

Before the Swarovski & Sapphire, which retails for approx. ₤1,395, there was the 24ct Gold iPhone 3G for ₤1,595.

Last month, the company released the Nokia “Princess Edition” that boasts 8.2 carats and a ₤12,000 price point.

If you’re wondering what good a cell from the U.K. will do you, fret not. The phones come unlocked so they can be used anywhere in the world. Dial away.
