It may be a little early to begin thinking about the holidays, but one holiday attraction has just begun taking reservations.

Never in the history of the world has Santa admitted children into his workshop– until now. A magical portal with direct access to the North Pole has just been discovered in the quaint White Mountain ski/summer village of Greer, Ariz. Hence, beginning this winter, children and their parents will have the unprecedented opportunity to actually visit Santa’s Workshop– via Greer. In fact, families can make their reservations for The North Pole Experience starting this week.

The North Pole Experience gives children and their parents behind-the-scenes access to Santa’s Workshop. With the help of Santa and his elves, children will roll up their sleeves to make special toys that can then be gifted to less fortunate children through Arizona children’s charities. After the “work” is done, children receive a golden key to the North Pole from Santa himself and the adventure continues with a peek at Santa’s office and the elves’ quarters, a visit to Santa’s reindeer, cookies and milk, and storytelling with Mrs. Claus.

Admission to The North Pole Experience for adults is $59 and $49 for children (12 and under) and includes a hearty dinner at the award-winning Molly Butler Lodge Restaurant. After dinner the Candy Cane Express departs from just outside the lodge, which has been a friendly and nationally-renowned Greer mainstay since 1910. Within minutes, visitors arrive at Santa’s 5,000-square-foot workshop which features the elves’ toy factory with a floor-to-ceiling fireplace, Santa’s office and state-of-the-art “Naughty or Nice Surveillance” system and Mrs. Claus’ bakery. The reindeer corral is outside.

Overnight packages, which start at $440 for a family of four, include admission to The North Pole Experience, dinner and breakfast at the award-winning Molly Butler Lodge Restaurant, and accommodations at one of Molly’s charming woodland cabins. Molly’s cabins are situated on large private lots and range in size– sleeping families of four to large family groups of up to 16. The reservation line is 888.NPX.SANTA.

The North Pole Experience is the brainchild of three Greer enthusiasts– who also own Molly Butler Lodge & Cabins and share a common appreciation for the history, the charm of the idyllic summer/ski village as well as its 12-mile proximity to some of Arizona’s best powder at Sunrise Ski Park.

“Our goal was to create an unforgettable, interactive holiday experience that would give families cherished memories and an exceptional way to celebrate the season together,” said Scott Pace on behalf of himself and co-owners, Allan Johnson and Jeff Saffer. “The North Pole Experience is a new family tradition.”

“Last December I was inspired when my six-year-old daughter insisted that she had to visit the North Pole and go inside Santa’s Workshop. I just knew we could create an off-the-charts, interactive holiday experience like nothing else in Arizona or nationwide,” said Pace. “And with its deep pine forests and white wintery landscape, Greer is the perfect setting in which to experience the magic of the holidays fully.”
