Brave Wings Fashion Show in Scottsdale

The first ever Brave Wings Fashion Show will help make a difference through fashion on Saturday, June 22, at the Venue Scottsdale. It will be hosted by Jackie Morales of 101.5 and Stacy Santelli of Future Stars Global Foundation will be the key note speaker. The show will benefit Sojourner Center, one of the nation’s oldest and largest domestic violence shelters.

Located in Phoenix, Sojourner Center offers services to more than 3,000 women and children each year. Their mission is to increase safety, promote empowerment, and transform their lives after violence. The center provides shelter, food, and clothing to victims of domestic violence, as well as on-site child care, counseling and legal assistance. Unfortunately, there is a shortage of beds and the center is unable to support all of the families in need. The centers have turned victims away because of a lack in funding, which is why the Brave Wings Fashion Show organization is swooping in to help.

The Brave Wings Fashion Show organization was developed by two passionate designers on a mission to empower women in all walks of life. Mabel Cortez, the designer of Mabella Chic, and Jenesis Laforcarde, designer of Woman’s Touch Apparel, developed the organization in order to support a charity every year with an annual fashion show. "We are local designers who want to give back to the community and making a difference through fashion is our goal.”

In addition to Mabella Chic and Women’s Touch Apparel, designers like Dawn Sunflower, Orlando Dugi, and Trifilio will be featured.

Come show your support and aid the fight against domestic violence.  General admission is $25 and tickets are available online at www.bravewingsfashionshow.com
