Steve LeVine Entertainment & Public Relations (SLE), Disco Donnie Presents, and Evening Entertainment Group bring the innovative DJ and producer Funkagenda to Axis Radius for Republic on December 7, located at 7340 East Indian Plaza in Scottsdale, Ariz. Doors open at 10 p.m.
Funkagenda, aka Adam Walder, began his career at the age of 13, helping program tracks for his father’s club act. He quickly got a taste for music and life on the road, and in the late 90’s found his passion in house music as it began to explode on to the scene. In 2006, Funkagenda became a permanent fixture in clubs around the globe traveling to New York, Russia, Poland and more.
In 2008, Funkagenda was awarded Ibiza DJ’s “Best Ibiza Track” and a Beatport award for “Best Tech House Track,” for his collaboration with Mark Knight on ‘Man With The Red Face.’ He was also presented with the Ibiza DJ “Best Newcomer of 2008” for his solo achievements, and DJ Magazine’s “Best Breakthrough Artist” in 2009 following the release of his first solo album on Toolroom Records.
Funkagenda’s sound has attracted musical partnerships from a large spectrum of genres. He has collaborated with artists including Mark Knight, MC Flipside, and Sultan & Ned Shepard, and has remixed the likes of Moby, Fat Boy Slim and Basement Jaxx. He also contributed in the production of The Black Eyed Peas album, ‘The E.N.D,’ which was nominated for “Album of the Year,” and won the “Best Pop Vocal Album,” at the 52nd Annual Grammy Awards.
