Drake, the current king of Toronto (or so it seems) has finally released Views, his highly-anticipated, fourth studio album that taught us patience if it taught us anything. With a two-and-a-half year gap between his third studio album Nothing Was The Same and Views, the Canadian rapper and self-proclaimed ‘6-god’ filled the long days with two mixtapes, multiple singles including the Grammy-nominated “0 To 100/Catch Up,” unending album clues and meticulously calculated moves that is so familiar of the “Hotline Bling” rapper.

The 20-song album that finally dropped on April 29 features an assortment of artists like PARTYNEXTDOOR, Future and Rihanna. The latter’s duo with Drake is reminiscent of their upbeat single “Take Care” off his 2011 album of the same name and almost seems like a well-fitting, not-so-happy-ending sequel to the previous hit. The theme of the album however, unsurprisingly remains the city of Toronto, Drake’s hometown.

The honest, and at times, upbeat album came with an exclusive interview broadcast over Apple Radio, and of course, a tour to match. Perfectly titled, the Summer Sixteen Tour is kicking off July 20 in Austin, Texas and rolling through many big cities before ending in Vancouver on September 17. The tour is bringing along Drake’s What A Time To Be Alive co-star, Future along with OVO signees Roy Woods and DVSN, and other special guests. Mid-tour Drake will stop off in his hometown of Toronto for his yearly star-studded music festival, and this year’s seventh annual OVO Fest that’s set to bring on Snoop Dogg, Wiz Khalifa and likely more big names.

On September 6, catch Drake live in Downtown Phoenix at Talking Stick Resort Arena as the Summer Sixteen Tour makes the desert its home for one night. For tickets, visit: ticketmaster.com/drake-summer-sixteen-tour-phoenix-arizona
