Thirsty Thursday comes early this week with the celebration of National Piña Colada Day!

Wednesday is still technically a work day, but who isn’t in the mood for a little slice of island paradise mid work week?

Celebrate pineapples, coconut, rum, little umbrellas, ridiculous holidays and “getting caught’ in the rain” (we wish!) for happy hour today at one of our topic-picks for delicious piña coladas!

Tommy Bahama Restaurant

The Tommy Bahama restaurant is the perfect place for Hawaiian shirts and the company of a friendly and fun staff. Although the restaurant doesn’t have a signature piña colada, they do make the standard taste pretty good.

They mix white rum, creamy Coco Lopez and pineapple juice — the bartender can add fruit like strawberries to the mix if you want to feel special.

Rum Bar

Located in Downtown Phoenix’s award-winning hidden gem for Jamaican cuisine, The Breadfruit, Rum Bar serves-up a menu of exciting specialty cocktails.

The bar’s Piña Colada Redux includes: Matusalem Platino, house made coconut liqueur, pineapple, coconut cream and nutmeg.

Just A Splash

The pool bar at the JW Marriott Desert Ridge has perfected one of the most popular piña coladas in town. Their signature drink, the Kokopelli Piña Colada, fuses vanilla, coconut and dark rum with an Island Oasis drink mix – and tops it all off with a maraschino cherry.
