Phoenix Classic Car and Hot Rod Show in Chandler

     One of the premier car shows in the Phoenix Valley area will be taking place in historic downtown Chandler on Saturday, February 26, 2011.  In its 8th consecutive year, this free event features a selection of more than 250 classic cars dating from early 20th century antique, to models as late as 1979, thus ensuring a wide variety of entrants to please every taste and interest, whether it be a restored Model-T, a classic 1957 Chevy Pickup, or a more modern Dukes of Hazard style muscle car. 

     Last year’s event drew more that 20,000 Phoenix Valley spectators, drawn in not only by the great selection of cars and hot rods, but also by a quality selection of music, a kids zone, arts and craft vendors, food and beverage vendors, as well as state police and fire department displays.  This Phoenix Valley event is family friendly, and helps to raise money for local charities such as Improving Chandler Area Neighborhoods, an organization that provides free and comprehensive out-of-school-time programs that empower youth to be productive, self-confident and responsible citizens, as well as the Downtown Chandler Community Foundation.  More than $20,000 was raised for these Phoenix Valley charities at last years event. 

     This Phoenix Valley event takes place at Arizona Ave and Chandler Blvd on Saturday, February 26, 2011, from 10am to 4pm.  Entries  represent both car clubs and individuals, with club participation limited to 25 cars. The registration fee is $30 prior to Jan. 29 and $40 after.  Take some time this weekend to take in some classic cars in an historic Phoenix Valley neighborhood.
