The Heard Museum Explore the life of Frida Kahlo through an intimate and incredible selection of over 240 photographs and personal items. “Frida in Focus during First Friday” is happening this from 6-10 pm offering a wonderful celebration of all things Frida Kahlo, including a special Kahlo inspired choreographed performance by Liliana Gomez. Also featured is a selection of works that represent Kahlo collaborated between the Heard and the Phoenix Fridas, featured in a special mercado. The Heard Museum is located at 2301 N. The Phoenix Art Museum has transformed the Steele Gallery with “The White Shirt According to Me, Giafranco Ferré”, offering a stunning selection of 27 of Ferré’s white shirts created over the course of his career. This stunning exhibition showcases a selection of photographs, sketches, technical designs, and videos courtesy of the private archives of the Gianfranco Ferré Foundation. {9} Gallery is showcasing the exhibit “Never Without Shadow” which showcases the work of Aileen Frick accompanied by emerging sculptor Danielle Wood. Debuting her latest striking mixed media collages centered on Phoenix’s urbanlandscape, its diverse culture and people, while “revealing an uncommon view on the landscape of daily life”. The monOrchid is hosting the Brian Klein’s solo exhibition Architectural Explorations, showcasing the artists newest series of work, “Abstractions In Design's” which captured architectural gems from around the country, utilizing the latest digital imaging technology printing this series directly to aluminum and copper that pushes the boundaries of traditional printmaking. Shade Gallery is featuring Ten: Modern Abstract, a juried group exhibition, centering on the board theme of Abstraction, breaking away from traditional representation and norms. Showcasing a dynamic selection of 10 local artists that work in a variety of mediums showcasing painting, sculpture, mixed media collage, prints and wood.
