Downtown Phoenix boasts blossoming arts districts, an incredible selection of public artwork throughout the downtown area, as well as amazing theaters, museums and a plethora of wonderful activities for the entire community to enjoy. First be sure to stop by Phoenix’s Civic Space Park where you can’t help but notice the beautiful and massive floating net sculpture titled "Her Secret is Patience" by artist Janet Echelman. “Janet Echelman builds living, breathing sculpture environments that respond to the forces of nature and become inviting focal points for civic life,” according to her website. Judge for yourself and stop by Civic Space Park and check out this beautiful public park located at 424 N. Central Avenue, Phoenix. Thousands of visitors flock each month to see what the bustling downtown Phoenix art scene has to offer! Have you checked it out yet? Roosevelt Row Arts District and the Grand Avenue District has been recognized nationally for its incredible arts community and engaging events. Each month this bustling art that features over 100 galleries, artist studios, and local businesses participating each month with extended hours on First and Third Friday’s running from 6-10pm. These evenings offer the public a wonderful opportunity to explore downtown Phoenix and experience incredible local, national, and international art, wonderful local businesses, restaurants and even food trucks. Artlink Phoenix has helped to organize the largest First Friday event in the country, as well as Art Detour, which occurs annually the first weekend in March.

Finally head to the Phoenix Art Museum, which always offers an excellent selection of art and special events. Currently on view are several exhibitions including The Resonance of Clay a contemporary look at Japanese ceramics on view until April 1st. Fashioned in America explores the revival of fashion designs in the U.S. on view March 15th.

The Center for Creative Photography presents two correlating exhibitions All That Glitters is Not Gold: Platinum Photography and Platinum: Contemporary Photography exploring platinum photography, the process, and the masters on view until March 1st. Mysteries from Europe is an exhibition that highlights works by unidentified artists on view through April 1st. Lastly don’t miss Leonardo da Vinci’s Codex Leicester and the Power of Observation on view until April 12th. The Phoenix Art Museum is located at 1625 N.
