What is the SMoCA Lounge? Well it was established in 2011, focusing on presenting dynamic art installations that are designed for community engagement and public events. According to the SMoCA “It offers a flexible space for artist’s talks, musical performances, literary explorations, creative competitions, book discussions, other experimental happenings and even dance parties.”

Dalek SMoCA

Come and enjoy “Radiate” the current art installation created by artist James Marshall (a.k.a. Dalek). This summer the Scottsdale Museum of Contemporary Art commissioned Dalek to create site-specific art throughout the SMoCA utilizing Latex paint, the existing walls, and some furniture, which is beautiful, bright and engaging! The SMoCA is located at 7374 East Second Street, Scottsdale 85251. Visit their website for more information about exhibitions and events at https://www.smoca.org/.
