The Best Of Versace for H&M

After the sheer mayhem that occurred with the debut of Missoni’s collection for Target it is only a wonder what will happen this weekend when Swedish retailer H&M launches The Very Best Of Versace for H&M. On November 19th the collection will be available in selected stores in the U.S. and online, it will also be available in 300 stores worldwide.

There are plenty of reasons to be excited about this designer collaboration including H&M’s first ever-designer collection to include home designs. So now you won’t only be able to wear your Versace you’ll be able to admire it in your home.

Ms. Donatella Versace herself says of the line, “The collection for H&M is the essence of Versace. For the collaboration we’ve brought back from the archives, as well as from more recent collections, some of the icons of Versace such as the bright prints, the Greek key and daring cuts. I can’t wait to see how H&M’s wide audience will make these pieces their own.”

The collection is filled to the brim with shocking, bold colors of orange, pink, purple, and yellow. The Versace archival prints are fanciful with pictures of sunsets, tropical plants, and Asian florals. The materials range from chiffon, leathers, and silk for a bevy of different looks, whether you are looking for a easy to wear day dress or edgy nighttime appeal, Versace delivered. “Versace’s collection for H&M is a moment in fashion. It is full of strong pieces that stand out, with colours, prints and cuts that are clean and precise,” said Margareta van den Bosch, creative advisor at H&M.

The price points for this designer collection may be higher than H&M loyal customers are used to paying, but from the looks of things it is entirely worth it. The black leather dress with metal studs priced at $299 is strikingly similar to a dress seen on the Versace Spring 2012 RTW runway at Fashion Week. The entire women’s collection including accessories ranges from $19.95 to $299.

Men, and their lady fashionistas, will also be happy to know that for once the guys weren’t left out. Though there are not as many options for the men they can still participate in bright pops of color, finely tailored suits, leather and studs and crazy prints too. Price points start at $17.95 for a pair of Versace boxer shorts to $299 for a leather jacket.
