Sexy Spring Swimwear

The last few days I have been on a rather intensive photo shoot with super long hours and almost a dozen models to primp and dress. When it came time for the pool side shots let me tell you it was no small feat to suit up each model in coordinating but not matching suits that both flattered. were sexy but not too revealing.

Even though everyone thinks that models are perfect, they too occasionally have areas that they don’t necessarily want to show off to the rest of the world. Prepping for this gig per the clients request of “modest but sexy suits” had me digging for creative options and this season I find that there are plenty to choose from if you aren’t the type to flaunt it all.

What Herve Leger did for curve hugging dresses you can now find in sexy swimwear. Max and Lubor Azria took the idea of the Leger bandage dress and kicked it up a notch. As with his frocks these swimsuits are cut in figure enhancing ways including criss cross straps along the body that create a knockout silhouette. One of my favorites the halter style in coral is uber hot for this season and the shade looks incredible with a tan.

I also love the one piece bandage style that give plenty of coverage without being as my brood of models yesterday dubbed every full coverage suit – “granny”.

Another always amazing style is the cutout which seems to be prevalent in higher priced suits this year. I just loved this Inca one piece cutout style that wreaks of 60’s bombshell. I can imagine Ursula Andres 007’s most famous bikini clad cohort wearing a suit like this one.

Or how about this Badgely Mishka Platinum Label plunging V suit that lends coverage where you need it with smoldering sex appeal? This one flatters a variety of figures and actually lets you play in the water instead of just sitting on the sidelines.

Of course I have to mention Lisa Marie Fernandez’ collection of neoprene suits. These are the stuff that late 70’s pin up posters are made of. I mean really now, you can have your own Cheryl Tiegs or Farrah moment in one of these suits. They offer full coverage with a hint of raciness. And the neoprene sucks everything in in all the right places, so no worry about over indulging on the pool side snacks.
