Some designers have swapped fabric for crayons.

Bloomingdale’s originally had 12 designers create exclusive ready-to-wear styles inspired by Crayola colors for spring. But then the New York department store upped the fun ante by having seven of the designers create actual looks with Crayola crayons on mannequins.

Seen on the 59th Street windows, Nanette Lepore’s “unmellow yellow” dress; Rebecca Taylor’s Crayola “midnight blue” dress; and Ronny Kobo’s “bittersweet orange.” Cynthia Rowley filled a mannequin with crayons to resemble denim, while Parker employed “jungle green.” Rebecca Minkoff used “banana mania,” and Clover Canyon worked with “mountain meadow.”

The rest of the designers who participated include, Amanda Uprichard, Trina Turk, Milly, and Charlie Jade.
