Courtney Love’s fashion line plus spooky mani’s and chic pumpkins via Lauren Conrad.

Well here I sit in front of my keyboard with a hot green tea in hand and a few packets of Emergen-C ready to help end the cold that has come upon me. I have convinced myself that it’s only a 24 hour thing but still it might be messing with my ability to make a firm decision regarding the blog today… so may I present you with a little bit of fashion salad.

So this may be old news to some, but Courtney Love is finally going to launch that clothing line that she has talked about since Frances Bean was in grade school. The intriguing thing about the line called Never the Bride is that it’s all made from re-purposed vintage clothing.

You see back in the early 80’s Love worked at the Paramount Studios wardrobe department and was given the task of tossing many of the old vintage pieces that the studio was getting rid of. Instead in true Courtney fashion she didn’t exactly follow the rules and kept the pieces for herself. Now these very same items have been reworked into her own line. Love says the collection will soon be available on Net-A-Porter. Take a sneak peek at a few looks below.

And even though most of us haven’t even dragged out our fall and winter garb yet I am somewhat obsessed with the new line SVILU. This environmentally friendly line of super sweet looking sportswear had me at hello! Britt Cosgrove and Marina Polo both honed their crafts at Peter Som before going out on their own. The Spring collection includes some beautiful pastels as well as standard neutrals cut in feminine but super modern silhouettes.

Though most of the Halloween parties and costume craziness via social networking were happening this past weekend the official day is still a few days away and even if you aren’t into wearing a costume you can still break out some really fun looks on your nails. Refinery 29 collected some of the best Halloween mani’s on their site. My favorites are these three by Nails In Nippon, Galactic Lacquer and Swatch and Learn

And speaking of Halloween, I am always on the hunt for somewhat fashionable ways to display cute decorations without too much fuss. This goes double for pumpkin carving, which I have a love/hate relationship with. I happen to catch these darling ways to decorate pumpkins on laurenconrad.com Ms Conrad had some great ideas last year like lace covered and rhinestone pumpkins and this year I loved the ombre’ version.. so chic!
