Bridal Collection Reviews Spring 2013 – Marchesa, Lhuillier, Amsale, Herrera

Each year as Spring comes to the forefront my Glam Lounge Artists team knows that it’s time to gear up our makeup kits and get in bridal mode. And what could be lovelier than a beautiful Spring wedding in Arizona? The weather is usually gorgeous, the sunlight creates the perfect photo opportunity and out of town guests are always happy to be out of their less- than -stellar weather and into ours meaning your in-laws, aunts, uncles and cousins will probably be in a delightful mood.

One of the best parts of being involved in a bride’s special day is seeing the dress she has chosen to marry the man of her dreams… Being the fashion loving girl that I am I gasp every time. And almost the best part of every wedding other than the actual tying the knot part is the anticipation of seeing the bride walk down the aisle. Last week bridal designers unveiled their 2013 collections and I couldn’t resist sharing. Here is a mix of some of the standout looks for the bride that really wants all eyes on her!

Amsale is often a favorite of mine. Always modern without too much fanfare this designer keeps it chic and to the point. This year there were peplums and lace along with the expected sophisticated prettiness.

Carolina Herrera always a master with gowns of any kind does the bride a solid with some of the prettiest looks of the season. One of my favorite things about her gowns is the use of pockets and this year she added them to the bridal collection as well. Any dress that lets you stash lipstick, Kleenex or a piece of gum is high on my priority list!

At Marchesa Georgina Chapman turned out some absolutely stunning gowns based on the labels incredible red carpet collections. Everything from tulle confections worthy of an A-list starlet to column gowns that highlight every curve. Ms Chapman and her partner Keren Craig know exactly how to turn up the volume and make sure that no one will forget what the bride wore.

Monique Lhuillier is ever at the top of the list for creating incredible gowns and this year was no exception. Whether it was Chantilly lace, a mermaid style, detachable trains or column gowns Monique gives brides what they are craving. This time blush colors were added to the lineup of traditional whites and creams… so chic!

Of course there were far too many to list in one post so stay tuned for the part two of bridal highlights later in the week!
