10 Favorite Red Carpet Moments of 2010

The end of the year always brings with it a time of reflection. It’s the perfect time to look back on what you have accomplished for the year, your goals, your successes and hopefully not too many regrets! And with that it’s the perfect time to reflect on the often bedazzling occasionally befuddled, but always amusing walk down the red carpet memory lane of some of our favorite celebs.

There were of course plenty of good, bad and downright unsightly looks to delight the senses in 2010 and as always some had us giddy with delight (including a few new fixtures to the red carpet) while others had us scratching our heads in wonder. Here are some of the best celebrity looks of the year.

Emma Watson – Holy Buckets of Harry Potter Fire! Please tell me when this little Hogwart alum got so glam? Emma has been practically perfect in every way every time she steps out for a premiere or awards show… and the hair cut has made her the “it” girl of the moment!

Lea Michelle – This Glee star has certainly honed her red carpet chops rather quickly. And this midnight gown by L’Wren Scott was dazzling with her flowing locks at the Emmy Awards.

Kate Hudson – Who can forget the amazing Marchesa bridal gown that Kate Hudson wore at the Golden Globes this year? It was as if she was wrapped in fondant… but I also loved this gorgeous curve hugging dress that she wore at the Screen Actors Guild Awards which proves that Kate isn’t afraid to show off her shape!

Sarah Jessica Parker – Of course what can you say about SJP? In my mind she still tops the list of infinite chic and this flowing Halston number that she wore to the Met Ball is no exception. The makeup and hair paired perfectly with this stunning champagne colored gown.

Victoria Beckham – The always poised VB looked smashing in one of her own designs at the Elton John Academy Awards after party. The neutral shade and sophisticated tailoring that cinched in at the waist made this dress a winner.

Blake Lively – The style phenom eschews using a stylist in favor of working directly with her pals like Karl Lagerfeld and Anna Wintour for fashion advice and it shows. Unlike some of her contemporaries she’s is always spot on in the latest and greatest looks like this immpeccible strapless number.

Anne Hathaway – This red carpet favorite owes a bit of thanks to her uber stylist Rachel Zoe for the head turning frocks that have landed her on the stop of the style heap this year like this knee length white dress.

Mila Kunis – It’s been a great year for the beautiful Mila Kunis and she proved at the Black Swan premiere the old adage that less is more always works. She wore this flawless Ellie Saab gown that had her looking like a young (but polished) Angelina Jolie.

Claire Danes – Miss Danes has viewers gasping in delight over her sunny California girl look at the Emmy Awards this year. Everything from her beaded gown to her flawless makeup and golden locks seemed to be perfectly in place and landed her at the top of many “best” lists this year. Bravo Claire!

Of course there were so many more looks that could have made my top ten this year, but the final honor goes to Taylor Swift who unlike her peers always dresses in age appropriate looks from head to toe like this backless beaded number.
