Best Beauty Inspo From NYFW

Just as the clothes at fashion week set the tone for what we’ll wear next season, so does the hair and makeup seen on the runway that creates the mood for what we’ll want to emulate and incorporate into our beauty regimens come fall.

Clean and blemish-free skin is always a beauty ideal, but an even-toned, dewy complexion is step one for all of the fall/winter 2015 makeup looks. Eyes play a major role for fall, dressed up in a classic smokey eye or bedazzled with crystals and glitter that will take you from a glamorous day to a dazzling evening.

Get creative and inspired with some of these best beauty moments seen straight off the runways of NYFW.

Rodarte

The name of the game was light and reflection at Rodarte. Makeup artist James Kaliardos delicately lined models’ lower lash lines with sparkling Swarovski crystals that were glued and attached by a silver string. Kaliardos kept the rest of the face to a bare minimum, dusting Nars’s pale pink Tribulation Blush (available in the fall) on the cheekbones, and swiping a matching pale pink Nars Chelsea Girls Lip Gloss (also out this fall) on the lips.

Forget hair and makeup, the focus was all on extreme luxury nail art at Libertine. The fashion house paired up with CND to create custom 3D nail art crafted with 2,500 hand-placed paillettes, 600 feet of gold chain and 110 individually sculpted shark teeth that took almost 500 hours to make!

Diane von Furstenberg

It was all about seduction at Diane von Furstenberg. Celeb hair stylist Orlando Pita explained the sultry beauty look: “Here, we’re doing more her evening life, where she pulls her hair back, scrapes it back with her fingers, and then puts it in this bun that has pieces falling down.” Makeup artist Pat McGrath then gave models classic smokey eyes against a base of even, glowing skin.

Carolina Herrera
A model prepares backstage at the Carolina Herrera fashion show during Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Fall 2015 at The Theatre at Lincoln Center on February 16, 2015 in New York City.
Made up to look like sirens emerging from the sea, models at Carolina Herrera had dewy skin to die for paired with a strong crimson lip. Faux lashes adorned with silver-dusted silicone beads were made to look like water droplets, making this one of the most memorable beauty looks of the season.
