Beauty News

Usually, we devour every bit of fashion news we can get our hands on whether it be new collections, an open-letter battle between critic and subject, or who is coming out with the next Target line, but this week we thought we would take a little fashion break and delve into some juicy beauty news.

One of our favorite lipstick ladies, that is the Lipstick Queen herself, Poppy King has come out with a new collection for fall. This time around, King takes our lips back to the 1940s with The Velvet Rope Collection, which is a nod to old Hollywood glamour. Each of the five colors is incased in a retro gold tube and nestled in blue velvet packaging. We can’t wait to get our hands on one of the $50 tubes, which according to King, “Because of [the silicone and elastomer base], you are able to achieve full coverage in a single stroke that usually requires at least three strokes.” via wwd.com

Certainly we have all heard the tragic story of beauty YouTuber Talia Joy Castellano, who died of cancer recently. A few days before she passed away, her mother posted Talia’s bucket list on a facebook page. One of the items on the list was to have her own MAC Cosmetic line. Now, fans, new and old, are petitioning to make that dream come true. Supporters are urging the company to fulfill Talia’s wish while also donating proceeds to cancer research. Sounds like a good idea to us! via refinery29.com

Marc Jacobs, a name certainly synonymous with fashion, has made his debut in the beauty world a la his cosmetic line for Sephora. Though an August launch is in the works, a few shoppers have discovered that some of the items are already available online… but by the time you read this, I’m betting they will be sold out. via intothegloss.com
